  My mom was scheduled for surgery with Dr. Whitfield and due to a family emergency with her niece having to have a heart/lung transplant she had to leave for Alabama suddenly this past weekend. I called the practice to cancel/reschedule the surgery this morning for her and spoke with a man(only to find out I was speaking with Dr. Whitfield) who proceeded to call me a liar and didn't believe me when I told him about the transplant. Needless to say my mom will not be using the services of anyone who treats their patients like this. I will be happy to find another physician for her myself.
